Artistry of the Soul Yoga Teacher Training
AOSTT is a uniquely transformative yoga teacher training, offering a deep immersion into Kathryn Riding’s much loved weave of yogic styles including: classical yoga - asana, vinyasa, mudra, bandha, meditation, pranayama – and Kryas, Nada yoga, Meridian yoga, energy yoga, and Chi Kung.
Each morning will begin with one of Kathryn’s signature yoga classes, followed by a session where each asana is gently and lovingly explored.
Kathryn loves to work from the ground up - with an emphasis on building a solid foundation, discovering lightness from groundedness.
Trainees will discover how the language and poetry of teaching yoga arise from the wisdom of their own bodies. Trainees will also have many opportunities to teach the group and receive supportive feedback.
Kathryn experiences yoga as a dance, and loves how dance arises from yoga. Trainees will also learn how to facilitate authentic movement practices.
Kathryn is an experienced voice teacher – she taught voice at NIDA and WAAPA and was voice teacher to Cate Blanchett.
Trainees will experience voice classes to support their vocal clarity, resonance, projection, range and articulation, and daily mantra singing classes to develop their respective voices and to experience the uplifting joys of Bhakti yoga.
Trainees will learn how to facilitate the touch healing and sound healing sequences that Kathryn has been developing and teaching over the past 30 years. They will also learn the art of reciting sutras and poetry.
Trainees will discover how their voices can become instruments of healing. The development and fine-tuning of each person’s unique voice and teaching style is a primary focus of this training.
There will be inspirational guest teachers offering deep insights into yoga philosophy and applied Anatomy and Physiology.
